Stage 5 - Fitness Test
The fitness test will determine your physical abilities to carry out the role of a police officer.
The role is often demanding and places physical constraints on the body, coupled with an additional 2-stone in uniform, your body must be able to perform the role to the required level.
The fitness test is the final stage of the process, but for some it poses the biggest obstacle. There are varying degrees of fitness and various types of fitness. You are only as fit as the exercise in which you carry out regularly, therefore a cyclist or a swimmer may find the test demanding because their bodies are not conditioned for the type of exercises involved in the fitness test.
Hi David. Just to let you know, I went to an assessment centre, I gained a score of 61 % with no (D) marks for race and diversity. so i got through. Thank you very much for your support. Best regards. Ian - received 15/07/10
Hi David, just to let you know I have now passed my assessment course. Thanks for all your help and giving me a second chance to benefit from your expertise, as first time round my revision was poor. Anyone reading this take David's course if you really want to pass and make sure you revise all the handouts you are given. Thanks Anthony - received 04/07/10
