Stage 2 - Assessment Centre
The assessment centre is a vigorous 5-hour examination involving: role-plays, interview, written exams and an English and Maths test, some of which are based around a fictitious shopping centre where you perform the role of a customer service officer. The reason why so many fail is because few have experienced this kind of test and few fully understand how to demonstrate the competencies for the role – yet you probably already have most of them!
How can I ensure that I am successful?
“I would expect you to fully research the recruitment process prior to applying. Police application courses will help improve your chances of being recruited, 91% of our candidates are successful which is credit to our style of coaching and tuition. We teach you the fundamental skills required for the role and help you understand how to apply them to the assessment centre.
I would also expect you to have practiced role-play, written and interview scenarios as these contribute to 95% your overall mark. The Maths and Verbal Logical Reasoning tests only account for 5% of the marks so will not be the deciding factor if you pass or fail.
If you have already applied, and you are awaiting an assessment centre date, it is very important that you do this now and you will be less likely to fail."

Hi David, just to let you know I have now passed my assessment course. Thanks for all your help and giving me a second chance to benefit from your expertise, as first time round my revision was poor. Anyone reading this take David's course if you really want to pass and make sure you revise all the handouts you are given. Thanks Anthony - received 04/07/10
