Stage 5 - Fitness Test
The fitness test will determine your physical abilities to carry out the role of a police community support officer.
Although the role is less demanding than the police officer role, it still places considerable physical constraints on the body.
The fitness test is the final stage of the process, but for some it poses the biggest obstacle. There are varying degrees of fitness and various types of fitness. You are only as fit as the exercise in which you carry out regulary, therefore a cyclist or a swimmer may find the test demanding because their bodies are not conditioned for the type of exercises involved in the fitness test.
In order to complete the fitness test, certain level and type of fitness is required. Our Fitness Training Programme can offer you expert advice.

Hi David, just to let you know I have now passed my assessment course. Thanks for all your help and giving me a second chance to benefit from your expertise, as first time round my revision was poor. Anyone reading this take David's course if you really want to pass and make sure you revise all the handouts you are given. Thanks Anthony - received 04/07/10
